An Invitation to:
OVARIAN CANCER
SURVIVORS, FAMILY MEMBERS & FRIENDS
The Ovarian Cancer Orange County Alliance (OCOCA) invites you to
join in bringing awareness of this life-threatening disease to
others. Your story is unique and your experience can touch
others and save lives.
Ovarian cancer is NOT a silent disease. There are symptoms, but
most don’t recognize them. Your symptoms – your diagnosis – your
treatment – your survival - can serve as a wake-up call and
inspiration to others.
OCOCA is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that promotes
education and awareness of ovarian cancer. Our mission is to
save lives by educating the community about the signs and
symptoms of ovarian cancer and reach out to newly diagnosed
women and those in treatment.
The OCOCA Speakers Bureau welcomes your participation, and no
public speaking experience is necessary. We provide guidance and
encouragement as you tailor your personal ovarian cancer story
to our target audiences throughout the community.
To learn more about OCOCA, visit our website at
www.ovarianoc.org. To become a volunteer with our Speakers
Bureau, phone 714/974-0697 or e mail us at ovarianoc@aol.com.
OCOCA’S general meeting is held the fourth Wednesday of the
month, 6:30 p.m., at Hoag Cancer Center, 1 Hoag Drive, Newport
Beach. We encourage you to attend, learn about what we do, and
how you can make a life-saving difference to other women.
